Very often I’m trying to do an action in studio (move a part, resize, click and drag) the studio freezes for 5-10 seconds. It also does this sometimes during autosaves or manual saves. This can get very annoying and eat up a lot of time when I’m working.
This started happening around maybe November and has been happening since, regardless of game. I tried resetting studio’s settings and it had no effect. Anybody else have this? Any way to fix it?
It’s not affecting me, you should probably post your system specs and studio version to give the engineers an insight as to whether or not it’s a problem on their end.
Not sure if it’s related but after using studio for over an hour, common actions like the ones you describe for me start taking noticeably longer to register to the point where I frequently end up drag-selecting many parts by accident. Been an issue for over six months but I don’t remember when it started.
I’m not sure if it’s related, but my system always slows down over time and Studio makes it worse. It has something to do with Windows, though, as restarting explorer.exe[1] fixes it. My bug is probably a Windows bug, but if it’s the same bug that this post is talking about then Studio might be triggering it and causing the whole system to slow down. It could even be caused by a Windows update and not a Studio update.
[1]: the process that handles the taskbar, start menu, file explorer, and desktop background, among other things.
Got that exactly same problem now 2021 with the last studio update, its every 5-10 seconds that studio decides to just drop down fps to 0 and then it goes back to 60. It happens all the time to me, when I first open studio and even after some hours later. It is pretty annoying. Posting this if someone else is having the same problem. Does anybody have this or had this, that can help me solve it?
