Click “Edit in Studio” on any game you can edit on the website (it has to be done this way for the “Login to continue in Studio” window to appear otherwise the login window will just appear)
Click “Login via Browser”
The link will open in Microsoft Edge when my default browser is set to Brave
System Information
OS: Windows 10
Expected behavior
The login link to open in my default browser: Brave
I work on the team who owns this functionality! Would you be able to get your Studio logs and DM them to me? That’ll help me get a better understanding of what the issue is!
Similar issue on my end, but this happens for any browser link. My default browser is Arc on macOS Sonoma 14.5, but all links open up in Google Chrome. I have DMed Studio logs to you!
This has started happening to me with the “open in browser” setting for toolbox models too. This is a more recent bug for me, at least in my case, and I verified that my default browser was Brave. This is strange because just a few days ago it was opening in the correct browser and now it is not.
We’ve verified on our end that a windows installation with Brave as the default browser works as expected. Please double check in your windows settings that your preferred browser is set to open HTTPS links, as shown in the image below - that will determine which browser opens your Studio links.
This issue still persists but now its opening in Google Chrome instead of MS Edge but still not Brave I have not touched my default config since the report. Other programs like discord respect my default browser Brave.
The bug
Whenever you launch studio via “Edit in Studio” button on the website (URL protocol) all links I open (Login via Browser button, notifications, etc) opens in Google Chrome as of current.
When I opened studio via the Start Menu or Taskbar shortcut (normally) all links open in my default browser Brave.
