Issue:
When I insert new models, my server connection gets messed up. Wifi is great. 335mbps download speed, 11.6mbps upload. It stays in this state for over 20-30 minutes and I am unable to save the game.
I also can confirm it is hogging by upload bandwidth during this disconnection time, almost like it is constantly trying to ping the server but failing, so it keeps looping the upload. My upload speeds plummet to 0.31mbps during the entire 20-30 minute upload attempt.
Before inserting model:
After inserting model (from file or copy/paste):
Team create is on and I have been having this issue on and off for the past few days on different places. It seems to be certain models in particular.
This one (uploaded from file) uploads just fine, and does not crash the connection between the client and server.
This one (also uploaded from file) corrupts the upload and crashes server connectivity. I would also like to note that the building labeled “OLD” was from the previous insert attempt, at which it failed to connect to the server, and broke half way through the upload. So only half of it was saved. Hopefully this can be traced back to a corrupt union or something. But right now I don’t believe the server connection is supposed to crash like this. The “NEW” one is the one I just inserted and is loaded in on the client perfectly fine, but as you can see the server connection is broken.
Replication Steps:
- Open studio, old or new baseplate.
- Enable team create
- Insert models into studio
- Studio breaks connection with the server when trying to insert certain files (uploading from file or pasting from another studio tab)
Files:
Here are various files that I tried. Building #2 breaks for me trying to upload, #3 and #7 work fine.
