Sent in DMs, apologies didn’t see this in time.
Thank you for the report. This has been very useful for us.
We recently rolled out a change that had the unintended side effect of NOT disconnecting you from team create if you got stuck uploading a whole bunch of changes as you described here. I just turned this change back on, so at least now you’ll get disconnected in these situations as oppose to being stuck in an unresponsive studio for 30seconds. I understand this is NOT an acceptable fix to your issue but we decided disconnecting is still better behavior.
We suspect this is happening because unions are generating large amounts of data that’s blocking the upload bandwidth for a very long time. We’ll continue investigating the issue and I can’t make any promises on if or when we’ll be able put out a fix.
Hi,
Thank you for looking into this. The bug is still occurring and studio is unresponsive from the network connection and does not return still. I still have to manually close the team create.
I have noticed that building 2 in this pack has a significantly larger size than building 7. Yet Building 7 works completely fine, and building 2 breaks the connection and does not return. When I try to quit studio this appears.
Strip_Mall_Building_2.rbxm (960.8 KB)
Strip_Mall_Building_7.rbxm (31.0 KB)
It seems that just does not just affect unions anymore, it seems to be centered around basic models as well. I have tried to insert models, such as buildings with 300 or less parts and no unions at all, from a blank place into my main game and still experience connection issues; which suggests that even the fairly small part count models also generate a lot of data to blocks the upload bandwidth. After a couple of additional attempts it seems to finally stabilize the connection and allows the model to be inserted and rendered as it should in the end.
Hey everyone. We made a few changes on our end. Can you try restarting studio to pick up the new changes and trying it again?
This fixed the issue for me! Theres a few other bug reports that are similar that ive seen recently.
