Studio massive memory leaks leading to PC crash or Studio closing

  1. What is the issue?
    When I open a specific place in Studio (including old save files), the RAM usage spikes by about 200 MB/s, leading to my PC either freezing until restart, or just the Studio crashing down on other PCs I’ve tested.

Script auto completion and highlights do not work while it’s leaking memory.
Tested on 4 different PCs, only 1 was able to run without issue.

My theory is that it has something to do with the amount of module scripts in the game?

May have started after a Windows update, I don’t recall…

  1. What solutions have you tried so far?
    Deleting all Roblox related registries fixes this issue, but returns when I reopen the place afterwards.

Also tried restarting the computer, reinstalling studio, fixing my system clock, clearing local data, and updating drivers to no effect.

I tried contacting Roblox support, who, surprising absolutely no one, just sent me to some irrelevant articles.

Do you have the “New Luau Type Solver” Studio Beta Feature enabled? Try disabling it.
