To clarify, this is in scripting support because I’m not sure if it’s got to do with how I set up my scripts or studio itself
Hey, having a bug with roblox studio playtest.
I have a script that works just fine that loads some custom things for a player like skincolor, editing their hair, etc.
This works fine during normal playtests and ingame and doesn’t bug, however, if I press the play button in studio, then tab out, and tab back into studio after the game has finished loading, the script doesn’t load anything/work. This isn’t a huge issue but is a slight bit of an inconvenience and I’m worried it might cause more issues later on perhaps.
Unheard of to me, but it may be something related to your computer itself. Is your computer easily capable to run Roblox Studio?
I also wouldn’t worry about it too much, I can’t see anything major breaking while testing in studio. Does it happen in-game?
I have a beefy PC, it happens to the other person I’m working with too.
It doesn’t bother me too much and as long as it doesn’t affect anything later in development then I guess it’s fine. No, it doesn’t happen in-game.
Was just really asking to see if anyone else knew it as some common issue.
Do you get any errors? Or does the script just not run at all?
Just appears to not run, isn’t erroring in the console, again, not a huge issue anyways
That’s very odd. Hopefully, it will resolve itself. It might even be a Roblox issue.
