Studio parts not aligning properly

Recently, I’ve had this problem with Studio where my parts do not automatically align with other parts, specifically with the orientation. Flat parts still snap to align normally, but for example, if I attempt to place a part on a wedge, it will not automatically align to it’s angle. This is the case for any rotated part or wedge.

This results in me having to find and specifically change the orientation of all parts if I want to drag them onto an angled surface. I believe this might be some studio setting that was somehow changed, because I do not encounter this problem on my other laptop.

Also, resetting Studio’s settings did not fix this issue.

Is this problem occurring with the select tool? I usually never trust the select tool due to alignment problems as well, so I usually just use the rotate and move tool, and deal with it. Unless that’s not what you mean…?

Are you starting the drag on the flat surface or the wedge sloped surface? (Assuming you’re using the dragger)

You may have accidentally disabled ‘Align Dragged Objects’. To reenable it, simply right click anywhere and you’ll see this:

Click on the button I highlighted and you should be able to drag objects normally. (Make sure it’s checked)

The solution is below, however the problem was present regardless of which surface I started on

What you do is what I’ve been having to resort to lately, but that is extremely time consuming. Unless each angle in the game is stuff like 30, 45, 90, you’ll have to specifically find the angle yourself to do it. I suggest you use the auto alignment, and thanks for responding!

Thanks for the information! I will try to use auto-alignment again when I can, so I develop a habit of using it in the long run.
