Studio performance Issues

I’ve recently been having some performance issues with using Roblox Studio. I tried to put this in Studio Bugs section but for some reason it won’t let me create a new topic.

So recently, whenever I use Roblox studio I am consistently getting a low framerate, everything in studio is slowed down. When I turn the camera around my mouse pointer jerks everywhere and i get a very non-smooth turn from the camera. The turn also isnt consistent and moving my mouse at a constant speed will result in an inconsistant turning speed of the camera. Panning the camera around gives me a low framerate as well. Highlighting and selecting instances in the Explorer widget is slowed and the entire script editor feels really clunky and slow.

This all started about a week ago and has been persisting ever since. I tried reinstalling studio and removing all my plugins and it doesn’t seem to have any effect. The problem persists even in a blank baseplate but it performs even worse in a place where I am actually developing a game and even worse still if I am using Roblox’s Animation editor.

I am unsure what the issue is, my computer should have no problem running studio. I checked task manager and there was no significant amount of resources being used by any program including studio. CPU usage was only at 7%, RAM was at 38% and the majority of that was being used by discord and google. I have even tried allocating more resources that studio is allowed to use on my computer which also doesn’t have any effect

My PC is running with the following specs

Windows 10
Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 gHz
16GB RAM at 3200 mhz
Geforce gtx 1070 ti

If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated. This has been persisting for over a week and its making development really unenjoyable and annoying

EDIT: Here is a video of the issue. Some of it is kinda hard to see and you cant really tell whats wrong unless your moving the camera and stuff and feeling the lag but here it is.

Also another thing that I forgot to mention is that when I do Play Solo or run a test server all of these problems go away. The game runs perfectly fine in the Camera window at the normal fps but once I stop and go back to normal studio, the problems persist.

May you show a video of your problem?

If you are using windows, then try using more of your cpu and gpu on studio:
Search up graphics settings in the search bar:

Set to classic app:

Then add studio by clicking browse and finding the location of studio.

I posted a video and made an edit

Similar problems happen to me. I just got used to it, sadly.

I have similar problems, but only when using the newer Lua draggers. The only time it isn’t related to move tools is when I attempt to run/play here/ play test a game, in which case it hangs for about 1-10 minutes straight before loading. This has begun suddenly and without explanation, and is incredibly annoying when attempting to test a game.

I just logged onto studio today and the problem is no longer present. I dont know what happened, I didn’t change anything about my computer the problem just disappeared. I’m assuming roblox just updated something.
