When clicking next to words it will sometimes highlight the entire word. This makes it difficult to edit scripts since you accidentally overwrite your code half of the time when you want to continue typing. I can’t figure out how to consistently trigger it but it happens very often when clicking around (gifs below)
Just a hunch, but are you sure it’s not your mouse? Double clicking on or next to a word will automatically highlight it. I’m having trouble reproducing this myself.
Could you try to reproduce this with another mouse?
yeah just double check your mouse since my partner has issues with something similar sometimes but plugging my mouse in to his pc seems to work fine
