Studio "server" doesn't work

I’m new, so i couldn’t find the exact category, sorry

so when i go to test and select two players and start
it opens two windows and on both of them an error shows up
i cant upload the photo it says an error happened, but the text is like this: Failed to connect to the Game (ID = 17:Connection attempt failed.)
(Error Code 279)
so i searched it up and this is what i found:

"Failed to connect to the Game. (ID = 17: Connection attempt failed.) (Error Code: 279)"
Displayed when the client is unable to connect to the game server, which can be caused by website blocks on the user’s internet, or when Roblox is experiencing downtime or other issues. It can sometimes occur when a user attempts to rejoin a or the same server before Roblox disconnects them from their previous visit, and this error can cause users to lose progress from their previous visit.
is there a roblox maintaince or just a bug

i was in the studio, so even if roblox had a maintaince, that shouldn’t effect studio or should it?

Please help, Thanks

Is your internet slow? It might be the problem. You can try multiple times.

i did and nothing happened, huh

Might be a platform bug, happens time from time.

Are you sure whatever cyber security software you’re using is allowing internal connections to a local server? If you’re using Windows, it’s likely that Windows Firewall doesn’t like you running local servers and will often prompt you saying “are you sure”, might be worth double checking to see if that’s having an effect at all.

Hope this helps,

The first time you launch it, it should bring up a UAC dialog where you have to give access to the network, allowing it through the firewall. If you don’t accept on this dialog it will fail every time.

If you open two players, you should get three windows opening, not two.

Given you only mention two players, try with a single player and see if that works. Also try with no players and see if that works.

If you’re missing the Server window every time, then try uninstalling studio, reinstalling it, and disabling any third-party security software while starting the test server. Hopefully that should give you the UAC prompt again or fix the issue.
