As a developer I find that the plugin tab tends to get too cluttered.
We have animations and localization both in the plugins tab. That takes up a big chunk of the plugin area space. I have a lot of plugins enabled so it’s quite cluttered.
Yes I think the terrain tab should be converted into a “Roblox Standard” plugin set or something along those lines, then have the localization and animation plugins brought over to that tab… Because are they really plugins anymore if they are developed by roblox and non-disableable?
Well, technically they can be disabled. You have to go into BuiltInPlugins (Relative to the Roblox Studio folder) and remove the rbxmx files that are visible in the plugins tab.
Also, @Iiau, it looks like you have an of Roblox animation plugin from the Plugins section of the site installed. The new version is built in to Studio and only has “Rig Builder” instead of all the Block Rig buttons. You can uninstall the one in your Manage Plugins page now to free up some space.
As a developer who uses plugins often, it is currently too hard to have an organized plugins tab with these added (and seemingly required) plugins, which don’t seem to be able to be moved to another tab or removed. Not everyone is a script/UI designer and I’m certainly not one of them, so I don’t really have any use for the language adapting tools. I could be completely delusional and there is an option somewhere, but I’m making this topic anyways.
