The bug:
There is an alert prompt which shows up every time I launch Roblox Studio or create a Test Server stating the following, "There is no disk in the drive, Please insert a disk into drive E:." When going into Server Test Mode the prompt pops up for the server and each individual Test-Player window, thereby if I test with 3 players 3 of the prompts will show up +1 prompt for the server window.
Regarding my computer setup:
I am using a PC that has 2 hard drives, one is solid state (111 GB) and the other is a disk drive (921 GB). I had made no changes to these two hard drives before or after the occurrence of this issue.
Bug duration:
This has been a reoccurring issue for me over the last 3 weeks; I have since re-downloaded Roblox Studio today thinking it would stop, but sadly the issue still continues.
I’ve been getting the same error for a couple months
It specifically started though after I installed A splitter cable for the one USB3 connection on my motherboard, so that I could have USB3 both on my case and because I installed an SD card reader in an optical drive slot that required USB3.0 connector
I’ve never bothered mess with the error because I figured it was my fault for the janky PC setup
Edit: And the issue has returned; quite odd considering it did not show up for me all yesterday…
I did a Roblox Studio update then a windows OS update and the issue has gone away! I suggest others try the following if you’re still experiencing the issue.
Probably more so had to do with the Studio Update; if so, thanks for fixing this Roblox Engineers.
