Lol, any news on this? It’s just over 21 months now.

You know it’s sad that whenever I open Studio my hand automatically places my mouse over the exact spot my Explorer (and Properties, and Output) windows end up in, waiting for them to load in, and I just move them down 13mm and right about 2 mm without thinking about it.

It’s still open, unfortunately. The dev this was assigned to is no longer with Roblox so I’ll bump it up and see if we can get fresh eyes on it.

Thanks, but here’s an additional issue that just started in the last couple of days.
My Toolbox and Terrain Editor windows that had been anchored at the top of my second screen are now moving up as well. They appear to be moving the same distance that the other 3 windows were moving in my first post.

hello? anything new? this has been a re-occuring issue for many years now and it makes frequent switching between studio places for updating very annoying.

No updates. We’ve been all hands on deck working on the upcoming Next Gen update. We have a ticket for it and it’s lumped in with the other docking/window issues we want to address.

Still an issue. Is the ticket still around for it, and will it hopefully be fixed soon? Its a very annoying issue, considering its been around for years now.

The next gen update is out now too and it did not address the issue.

Probably shouldn’t have replied to Mox.

Speaking of Paul the great, I was in Studio after about a 7 month hiatus and noticed it’s still going on as well.
What’s up? (since my windows are still moving up !)

Oops!

For now, it seems my only “fix” (not really a fix) has just been to click the bottom of the window and it seems to reset its up/down position back to being normal, instead of having to manually move the window every time.

Cant seem to figure out how to fix the left and right movement though… i just kind of fix that every once and a while when i feel like it got too far away

Clicking the bottom of the window does nothing for me.
I just moved everything down and right again.
Saved the place.
Closed Studio.
Opened it again.
Same issue. All 4 windows that I have open on my second screen still move up about 10mm.

when the window goes off the screen at the top side (from it being auto moved up and to the left), clicking the bottom part does snap that part back into view but yeah anything horizontal has to be corrected manually.

Yeah we’ve still got a ticket for this. At this point, I feel like we are closer to building our own window manager than patching up this third party framework on it’s death bed. But I will sniff around and see if we actually know what the issue is.

Hey everyone,

Apologies for the long delay here, but I rolled out a fix for this yesterday. Let me know if you’re still experiencing this issue.

Thanks for reporting!

Thanks for that. It’s been bugging me for a few years now!

Hey everyone,

There was a regression in playtest startup time in Studio that may have been related to the fix I rolled out, so we’re (unfortunately) rolling it back for now to see if it was the cause. I’ll let you all know of further updates.

Sorry for the inconvenience!
