Studio wont save my work from downloaded file into real game!

Title pretty much explains it but I work on my game in a downloaded file but I’m trying to upload into studio and whenever I do i get no errors but it just loads into the previous version that’s not what my file has.

Sorry if this is wrong spot to place I couldn’t find bug reports and I’d appreciate any help because this could delete all my progress if not fixed. I have also tried restarting my PC didn’t work and I have also tried atleast 5 times already.

If you are loading the place into Studio from your computer (not from Roblox itself) then when you go to Settings > Publish to Roblox you will see a window.
Inside the window is a button for ‘Update Existing game’.
Click the button and it’ll give you a list of the games you have.
Click the place you want it to save over (update).
You’ll probably see 2 choices: “Ad as a new place” or it’ll have the place you selected in the previous step. Click the place.
The Overwrite button will change to blue, meaning you can click it to update the game.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble uploading your game to Roblox Studio. There could be a few different reasons why this might be happening, so here are a few things you could try to resolve the issue:

  1. Make sure you’re saving your changes in the downloaded file before you try to upload it to Roblox Studio.
  2. Check if there are any errors or warning messages in the Output window of Roblox Studio. These messages may provide some clues as to what’s causing the issue.
  3. Make sure you’re uploading the correct file. It might be helpful to double-check the file path to make sure you’re uploading the correct file.
  4. Try restarting Roblox Studio and attempting to upload the file again.
  5. If the issue persists, you may want to try uploading the file to a different place in the game (e.g. a different folder or location within the hierarchy).

If you’ve tried all of these steps and are still having trouble, it might be helpful to reach out to the Roblox support team for further assistance. They should be able to help you troubleshoot the issue and find a solution.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions or if you’d like further clarification.

Thanks alot for trying to help, after sleeping it seems to have fixed itself which I’m very thankful for.

I had done this but it wasn’t working like it usually would. It works now after I went to bed and it seems to have fixed itself.
