Studio.Toolbox.Audio.Music.Genre.Timpani (localization error?)

I was looking on the Studio Marketplace to find a landing sound when I came across a song called “Masters Of The Land,” which was listed as the tag Studio.Toolbox.Audio.Music.Genre.Timpani. I decided to look into it and found that many other songs are listed as the same.

I believe that this was caused by a localization error, I don’t think that this is a big issue however, it is just a minor typo/error that only affects developers looking for Timpani music.

This is just an acknowledgment announcement!

We’ve filed a ticket into our internal database for this issue, and we will update you when we have further information!

Thanks for the report!

Just wanted to share some engine/website bugs that may be related to other localization issues, the above error occurred when attempting to delete my translation CSV table from the Roblox localization web page.

After refreshing the website and attempting to delete it a second time, there was no error message, but when I try to upload that same CSV table that I downloaded before deleting, I still get an error message and no translations are uploaded.

Below is a studio error when attempting to press the ‘save’ button in the options menu after turning any languages on/off.

The Roblox localization web page allows me to add and delete languages and shows products/information translation is on, but I am unable to toggle auto-translation for them, even though I am above quota in both categories.

So I have been unable to toggle languages for a while now, on both the website and in studio. I have RTL-Text support on and chat-translation on (although the chat translate toggle sometimes turns itself back off after publishing with it on), I was thinking one of the translated words/phrases in my game was causing issues which is why I deleted the CSV table, but translation still seems to be broken.

Hi @WeirdOddz, thanks for filing a bug report.

I am able to see this in Roblox Studio as well. I’ll get a fix in for this in a few days. If you see other parts of the Toolbox plugin in Studio that do not seem localized let me know and I can take a look.

Hey @MarineMike826 this is unrelated to the bug this post is about. Could you create a new bug report so that the team that works on Localization Tables can take a look?

I would if i had access to post in the #bug-reports forum, but i am not on the special list.

Hey @MarineMike826 , thanks for reaching out about the localization table errors. The 429 errors you are seeing when uploading the table again is from retrying the action too many times in a short period of time.

Could you try re-uploading the table after waiting a couple of hours and see if that works?

I am more concerned about the other errors that I explained below that, the ones that don’t allow me to turn languages on/off from the website or within studio.

I don’t have access to the mentioned CSV table at the moment as my work laptop recently died and I am currently using my school computer, hoping to have it repaired soon though, then maybe I will try uploading it again.

Can you take a .har dump of the localization page when you try to turn off a language please and post it here so we can help with debugging.

Instructions on how to do it (on Chrome) -

  1. Right click > inspect
  2. Select the Network tab.
  3. Go to the localization page and refresh the page with the network tab on
  4. Try turning a language on/off
  5. Click Export HAR (the down arrow icon) to export the file as HAR.
  6. Save the HAR file.
