Stylised S&W M29

Hello! This is my first ever forum post, so I thought I’d start it off with something I’m fairly proud of to showcase my abilities. Modelling guns has always been a strong suit of mine, specifically revolvers, I just find them to be the most challenging and fun type thing to model. I used to mainly model pre-20th century revolvers, but I soon found that more modern day revolvers are just as, if not more fun to recreate!
Anyway, no more beating around the bush, recently I modelled a S&W M29 revolver, but with a scope and also being s t y l i z e d.

Is it the best thing I’ve ever modelled? Nah, far from it, but I still think it’s of professional quality.

This model took roughly 3-5 hours in total, although a lot of it was me getting distracted by my Youtube playlist going on in the background.

Of course I based the frame off of a S&W M29 (With some slight edits), but the enlarged faces and angles was inspired by my recent viewing of The Gaslight District: Pilot! Especially that one scene where Mud pulls out a what looks to be Beretta, but it’s just so stylized!

Look at the scope!

Typically I would design more grounded and less-stylized models, but I just couldn’t resist the urge!

Anyway, I hope this was a good starting point to showcase my abilities as a “3D Modeler”.

By the way, if you are curious on what I meant by ‘Pre-20th century revolvers’, I mean stuff like the Cold Paterson, started production at around 1836~.

It doesn’t look that detailed from the outside, but that’s because I had to balance out the Tri-count, since to reload the revolver you basically had to take the whole thing apart, so most of the Tri-count went on the inside.

Okay I’m actually done yapping for now, goodnight!
