Stylized Farm - Blender-based Map

Over the past week I’ve been working on my skills in blender. With this project I made my first building basically all in blender, (the windmill). I thought it turned out very good, so I continued and made a few more buildings. For the past 2 years I’ve been trying to learn blender off and on and I had know idea I could make something like this.

I could add more on to this if I feel like it, but as far as I’m concerned I’m finished with it. Thoughts?

the tree could use different sizes, other than that it is pretty gud :>

I love the use of depth of field, it provides so much despite it being such a minor detail. The lighting works well with simple lower poly style you went with because it isn’t overwhelmingly realistic. The buildings are nice and the color scheme fits the environment. All I’d suggest is a bit of variety in terms of the vegetation (slightly varying colors and sizes) and potentially using the new atmosphere feature, otherwise I really enjoyed exploring your build.

I’d recommend adding some bushes here and there, but overall it looks pretty cool.

The trees are slightly different sizes, it isn’t really noticeable though. I used the brush plugin. Next time I think I’ll just make more than one tree type.

I just found out about the atmosphere feature yesterday. I used it in all but the last screenshot, but made it pretty slight.

I really like the windmill and terrain
Some things I would change is to add more variation to the trees and also to fix the tiling on the windmill roof

There should not be holes in between the tiles

These are your first buildings? These look amazing! I really like the style of the builds especially the windmill and well, the trees do look a little small though so I’d increase those just a little

i really like it, especially the landscape. But try to consider what type of game style you are going for, you are actually making a half low poly and half realistic. You don’t have to agree with me.

That’s majorly what I was going for. I haven’t exactly tried going all smooth plastic, but I will eventually.

I really love this build. This is really beautiful, and you did a fantastic job with this. The models made here are really well made, and I hope there are interiors in the future. I did find some trees on certain hills floating a bit so I’ll provide a screenshot below,

I noticed that as well, but didn’t see it as a huge problem. Also there is an interior for the little house build. It’s not the greatest but it’s there.

Floating trees can ruin a player’s immersion, I would consider being careful about stuff like that
