Hey there, Builder Souleth here.
I logged into a TeamCreate game yesterday, been working on it for over a month. All of a sudden the studio now has lag spikes lowering fps by 6-20 occurring every 10-15 seconds.
I have attempted the following to resolve it:
- Reverted the studio to a previous save file (migrate to latest update);
- I have individually deleted models to see if that changes anything;
- I have moved my camera around, zoomed in and out to identify the source and see if the lag spike is generated by an area or direction;
- I have searched for invisible parts, scripts etc.
- I have deleted and reinstalled plugins (at present I have gapfill, wedge alignment, archimedes and F3X);
- I have reset my studio settings; and
- I have grouped and ungrouped parts and models.
I always heavily optimise my builds so it’s not about my PC or the game itself; even if it was, there’s only roughly 100 meshes or 3452 primitives which is pretty standard for a smaller game.
In summary, I have no idea what’s causing this lag and none of my attempts at fixing this have worked. I would like any and all assistance. An additional question I haven’t tried - there are some parts with identical materials that produce the /!\ symbol “can cause unexpected issues in rendering game” - might this cause lag spikes? Otherwise, let me know your thoughts. Thanks.
