I’ve never read or learned about Goosebumps, but I could tell a bit about the “Doors” lore.
First, the map is a militarized hospital hotel, abandoned after the war. Some souls of the dead are haunted and held by Satan. They appear as black shadow figures. There is one exception however, it is the creature in teeth, flesh and bones. It is a creature made from buried body parts. The whole hotel is guarded by an angel, the statue of him is in the outdoor garden, he also appears as the blue sparkling light in different rooms to guide the players.
There are many references in-game of the Bible along with its stories, including paintings, angels, especially with its new update, the Holy Crucifix. However, the game lore mainly focuses on the ancient testament’s descriptions of the satanic power instead of focusing on the fundamentals of the entire Bible.
If you mean that the lore will be similar, then I would suggest you to try to think of something more original, but if just the gameplay or building style, then it’s all good as long as if it’s not too identical. After all, lore is the key to horror games. It’d suck to have just meaningless monster chases.
I would definelty play it. Opens my childhood back up. It would be cool to see some of the same monsters such as the werewolf, slappy of course as some type of boss/ something to avoid while going through the game. It would be cool as a piggy type game but also like a doors game combined. Need keys to open something and a bunch of other pathways. Mainly just think of a good lore as lore is what makes all horror games.
DOORS has been confirmed to have lore, however it has not been announced what that lore is. Just thought I should let you know to avoid spreading misinformation like this.
There’s never an official version, as the game developer never explains the lore himself, because it’s bad for the community hype. Proper theorizing is all that’s needed, at rare times with a bit of help from the developer.
This is a bit of a pointless argument, let’s not do that, you can talk about your opinion of doors if you wish, I never even played it I just watch and read a lot of Doors’s community’s thoughts.
