Suggestions on what I should add to my game *Urgent

Greetings fellow developers,
I am struggling to think of new ideas to add to my game and make the gameplay more enjoyable. I have already fixed lighting/bugs for the next update so pls only comment your ideas on what other things I could add!
Thanks for your help dudes

Hey, I’m joining the experience. If you want you can join me aswell. Let’s check out the experience.

Okay, I’m almost done with my experience. I even built a little hut while I was on it!

However, throughout my playthrough of roughly 10 minutes, I noticed many, MANY inconsistencies and bugs.
By the picture alone you can spot 4 different styles: Stud, Low-Poly, Semi-realistic and realistic architecture.
Keep it simple and use studs.
Second, you can destroy and vandalize any other player’s blocks. This is extremely annoying and makes people want to leave.
Another thing is that you should IMMEDIATELY REMOVE THIS AWFUL ROAD AND GAMEPASSES. It is SO OBNOXIOUS AND ANNOYING, because it is NOT aligned. Here’s what you can do;

  • Remove the road and make a new one. Make everything stud-styled.
  • Create a road that is INSIDE the ground (grass). Make the grass stud-based aswell.
  • Since blocks are 3 studs in each direction (X,Y,Z), you should make it 3 studs for the gray side and the road should be around 6-9 studs (nice).
  • Speaking of cars, REMOVE THEM. Not only is it obnoxious that you placed toolbox cars, it doesn’t fit. Add a sprint button.
  • Make your UI consistent. You can see 3-4 fonts scattered around and different styles all around.
  • Remove. The. GAMEPASS. BUTTONS. You can literally close them up if you want and that does NOT work with anyone.
  • Remove the tracks and donor area. They look like s***.
  • Make the area a little more decorated. Not decorated as in random garbage around the map, but a nicer background.
  • Fix the placing. It is miserable.
  • You are able to place a block multiple times in one spot. This can cause huge lag spikes. Speaking of lag,
  • Please merge the blocks. Please. You can clearly see it in freecam.

Currently, what is missing is NOT more content, what’s missing is polishing and fixing your experience. It’s not about quantity, it’s about quality. I’d rather have 1 good game rather than 1000 shovelware titles.

First things first:
I think you should focus on fixing your game instead of adding things, I understand that you’re trying to make a public city builder but in this modern ROBLOX with trollers and all sorts, it’s not possible, you’re better off making this a tycoon (for other reasons I’ll explain further down).

What I noticed:
As soon as I joined the game I noticed a lot of inconsistencies UI design wise and building wise. There is a mixture of low-poly, blocky stuff and it looks quite displeasing. (Sorry if I come across as rude but this will help you!)

The random magic carpet button around the spawn area also makes no sense, if you’re trying to get people to buy it, make it a GUI and make it so that there is an incentive to buy it.

When I was testing with @GabrielquintasYT, he was able to delete my blocks (hence why I said you’re better off making this a tycoon, or implementing some sort of system to ensure this can’t happen).

In the long term…
You should focus on making this game actually appeal to your demographic, this specific genre of game where you build things with janky mechanics died for a reason, for people playing on mobile, which is about 60% of users, this will not work. Yes it is possible, but too cumbersome. Ideally, you could implement a system like Theme Park Tycoon 2 where there are prebuilt walls, etc. that you can place down.

I also noticed like @GabrielquintasYT that the part placing system is a bit buggy, where you can place blocks multiple times in one spot, this makes the game really laggy and that was just with 2 people in the server.

Hopefully you take the advice you get!

One huge problem in your game is the lag, I think those print statements on the client’s log are contributing to this. “KEYBOARD” print statement runs so many times, luckily your memory usage on the client is still below 1000MB which is probably because of the tiny map I assume. But it is causing alot of the lag issues we’re facing.

Autosaving is cool and all but realistically bloxburg already exists, you need to make it unique. Why play this game when a better less laggier experience for players is available in another?

Autosaving also causes huge issues, players can fill the whole map and ruin the experience for everyone.

If you wish to keep the autosaving then add seperate plots like we have in bloxburg.

I would recommend making some sort of voting system to clean the map, if the majority agrees the map is cleared of all plots. This ensures no one can wreak havoc.

Or better yet, don’t allow players to build over a certain limit of blocks.

Also a currency system to buy items in some sort of shop would be nice, (data-saving too).

Yeah, I was also in a session with you! I called out the issue where someone can literally fill out the map in any way inside of a private server and then join a victim’s server, which ends up ruining the experience for EVERYONE.

My advice? Delete autosave. I don’t remember having an autosave feature inside the stamper tool in official Roblox games.

Yeah I don’t think people will be building beautiful things in that game anyway, probably kids in there. They won’t care.

You should also just create plots for people. I get that the purpose of the game is to “build a town”, but when has a Roblox server ever been civilized in creating a town? That’s why you should make private servers free and available.

Oh, and another thing that others may have not noticed, is the simple fact that most of your artwork, icons and thumbnails are inconsistent. As someone who designs and makes artwork for games, this heavily bothers me. Here’s what you can do:

If you use Canva, first make a template design that you can work upon. Once the template is complete, make a copy and start working on top of it. Give it coor schemes.

If you use Photoshop or any other software for that matter (Krita, for example), make a template design and save it as .psd (for Photoshop) or .kra (for Krita) or any other format to work upon. Remember to NOT save afterwards.
