Sun ray effect not working

I have been experimenting with sun rays for some time now but they are not working as i think they should (e.g i do not get any rays).

I have done the following:

  • Searched the dev forum and done all solutions there
  • Watched videos about them and done all the instructions
  • Upped my graphics
  • Reset studio
  • Re-downloaded studio
  • Changed position of the sun
  • Tried in both play and non play mode

Please provide with solutions i can try.

Could you possibly show us screenshots of what you’re seeing?

I think lighting comes under art, i will get some screenshots now.

Hm.

Are all the properties on the sun rays set to default, and/or is it enabled??

It is enabled and properties are changed.

How high? The sun rays may appear in different graphic levels for different devices? (For me, they appear in levels 16-21)

I set graphics to the max of 21.

That’s really odd then.

Quick question, have you tried going in game and turning your graphics up in game to see if the sun rays appear?

I have also tried that before and it did not work.

Alright, then something is up on either your client or the game. I have two suggestions:

  1. Try going into a new game and see if it works.
  2. If it doesn’t, then you should submit a bug report. Since you’re a member, you can’t do that directly. But you could try to use the method in this topic (look at the solution). It’s not very consistent, but it will have to do before they start ranking members to regulars again.

I hope you’re able to solve your situation! Sorry I couldn’t fully help.

go to file > studio settings > rendering and set edit quality level and quality level to max.

set your Graphics Mode to Automatic in the Rendering tab in Settings. That should fix your problem

I have done that like i said above.

Does not fix the problem as the graphics will be lower than max.

maybe copy the game files and put them in a new place

or first try seeing if sunrays will show on a default baseplate.
