When I use the Atmosphere in lighting, the sun looks very weird. It looks jagged and low-quality. Why?
Before Atmosphere:
After (Grainy Edges):
Why could this be happening? Is it the default texture roblox uses for the sun?

What are the settings of your atmosphere?
This almost seems like some kind of weird floating point rounding error.
Though I doubt if many people will notice it, the sun is too bright to look at for long periods of time.
The artifact already is very subtle.

Maybe. I might switch to a normal image of a white sphere instead of the airbrush-looking one that comes built into Roblox. it could just be that. but yeah it’s a very small detail someone might notice if they stare at the sun too long but it doesn’t bother me that much…
Try setting some of these values to something that is not zero.
Set offset to a number like 0.01 and so on, see if that works.
That doesn’t seem to change anything. I just switched the sun texture to a solid white circle instead of the default one and it made the grainy transparent edges go away.
It might’ve been the texture itself then, possibly compression artifacts.
Glad you solved it.
