So the reason for discontinuation is just issues with the kernel and drivers and the Mac engine (Xcode) and frameworks? Or am I wrong
That’s the simple explanation, yes.
Any plans currently for catalina?
No explicit plans. I think Catalina was around the same time as Apple Silicon was coming into production (2020-ish?) so that will likely be stable for a while. We really don’t want to have to update our min spec any more than we really have to!
ah, that’s a good thing to keep the spec low until there’s issues
Not angry, but frustrated in the goofiest sense;
As someone who uses… 10.13, shamefully, as I have yet to update my graphics card for my hackintosh, this is unfortunate. I have been holding off (broke college student core) on upgrading the hardware in the machine as the nvidia card works well. I suppose I gotta now invest in a more supported graphics card…
rest in peace lenovo hackintosh, you lived three joyous months on 10.13.
hackintosh for 10.13?! What the hell is ur specs?
Would you know if versions of Windows 10 from before 2021 are also affected by these system-level issues?
I’m fairly certain all flavors of Win10 is safe.
the joyous i5-3470 with 16gb ram and a GTX 750TI
Yea, security problems are actually big, but some MalwareBytes/random AV should fix it.
Win 7/8 also has a fandom, which cares about security and fan-made tools and ports from non-compatible apps.
E.g.: r/windows7, r/windows8, i use win7 btw"-like" guides, projects like api-ms-win-core-path-l1-1-0.dll, etc.
Yall actually believe ROBLOX gonna allow Linux? Every workaround gets patched faster than an exploiter gets banned.
Nah bro look up a video you can use a latest macOS hackintosh version with a NVIDIA GPU
Can you point to any Windows API methods which don’t work as they should in Windows 8 and 7?
This can help people find the right patches or tools to repair the issue.
Dude. Just look on GitHub and you won’t need to purchase any stòópid product keys.
honestly roblox should just start compiling ROBLOX android with glibc and desktop linux compilers. It shouldn’t take that much change considering there is a community project already filling the gaps.
if you cant upgrade to Windows 10 how on earth are you having a stable roblox experience? i get that people may not afford new computers but come on how could you have fun with such an unstable experience
last i tried roblox on windows 7 was as stable as windows 10
plus the most fun i have in games is watching them struggle to run on hardware they were not intended to run on (like HL1 on the 3DS)
Yeah, Rōblox studio on these versions are defunct, even Byfron.
A bit ago I was on Reddit and I saw someone who legitimately still uses Windows 95 as a main operating system. I wonder if he’s stuck in the past.
