Super FUN American Football Game

I’ve been working on a “side project” with some of my friends for a few months and it’s starting to take off. We just released our Winter update and are super proud of it so far, and players seem to love it too.

The game is a parody of current American Football games (Like Football Fusion 2 and NFL Universe Football), which are super serious and can often have a tense atmosphere, our game is the opposite. The focus of the game is humor first, rules later. You don’t even need to know how to play traditional American Football to play, it’s that easy!

We are going to start advertising it soon, and we’d appreciate if some of you nice people could check out the game and give us your feedback, ideas, or any bugs you notice! Remember that the game is in an early state and we have a LOT of content planned!

(If I had any good gameplay clips or a trailer, I would post it here… but I will ask you guys to go ahead and give the game a try, it is available for all platforms!)

Hi there!

I’m not the biggest sports expert, but I think your game is pretty nice. I like the animations and moves that you’ve given players but there are quite a few changes that could be made to make it even better

  1. Too much of the GUI is translucent. When two menus overlap each other, it bundles up words and makes it hard to read. You can either make them opaque or make it so that only 1 menu/window is open at a time. Also, while playing, the screen looks very bare. Try reading this post to learn more about UI design. Also, take a look at other games like Fisch if you want to use minimal UI design. Also, things like cash and other info about the player should be obvious to them in the GUI.

  2. The first thing a player sees when they join a game shouldn’t be an ad for a gamepass. Give the player more time to experience the game and see if they like it. Ads can often drive players away thinking the game is a cash grab. Maybe add a tutorial on how to play the game and then add an advertisement or weave it into the world they’re in (e.g. a billboard) so it’s not so up in their face.

  3. I know very little about sports, even less about football, but I know that there’s much more to it than tackling other players and getting a ball to the other side. Try to research more about the rules and plays of football and perhaps even watch a real football game to get a real feel of what the players would be expecting when playing your game.

  4. Add a levelling system (if you don’t already have one, I couldn’t tell) and products players can both buy and earn through gameplay other than outfits. And please, don’t make everything in your game cost money. I see that a lot and it really hinders great games.

Overall, I think your game has potential, but there is a lack of incentive for players to play the game. Give your players goals like getting a certain skill, buying certain equipment to up their game, and perhaps a list of achievements. I suggest you not only research games in your genre, but games like Deepwoken, Blade Ball, Blox Fruits, The Strongest Battlegrounds, and other fast-paced action games that are on the top charts every single day. From their GUI to their player incentives, to how they advertise their products, and to how they interact with their community. All these things, among others, are very key to making a game thrive, and I think you can do it too!

I genuinely really like your game, and I think it could be as popular as Blue Lock: Rivals, another popular sports game. There are also a lot of things you can learn from researching games outside Roblox, like the ones you mentioned, in-depth, and see what makes them tick. I just think that if you do more in-depth market and game research, your game could be so much more
