'SuperHot' inspired slow-motion effect [First Version]

Yesterday I had an idea of making a bullet-slowdown effect for a fun portfolio project. This is the first actual test of it and the first version.

Currently, if you press R in the “Dodge Time” where the screen is red and your heart is beating, you can parry the incoming bullets. If you do not do so, you will get hit and thus damaged.

I plan on adding a keystroke combination for dodging that will entirely be random on the left-hand side of the keyboard. So, to dodge, you will have to quickly input something along the lines of “qwe”, “wzx”, “tae”. If you miss 1, 1 bullet hits you, 2, 2 hit you, 3, all of them hit you, and so on and so forth.

I also plan on adding more attack combinations, patterns for bullets and cowboy behavior. I hope you like it:

Disclaimer: Cowboy model was not developed by myself, sounds as well. I’m almost entirely a scripter and this is a solo project.

looks awesome and just like superhot! it would be cool if you designed a whole level with multiple moving cowboys with the ability to shoot them back and showcased it here

It would be cool if you made their bullet particles slow down with the bullets. Other than that this is a very cool effect

Actually, I didn’t even think about that. Thanks for the feedback and noticing it.

I’m eventually looking to create a functional level, this is an execution of an idea that just popped into my head at random. Thanks for the feedback.
