SurfaceAppearance Not Rendering After Play/Run Simulation

Issue Type: Display
Impact: Moderate
Frequency: Constantly
Date First Experienced: 2021-03-26 12:03:00 (-04:00)
Date Last Experienced: 2021-04-02 10:04:00 (-04:00)

Reproduction Steps:
Enter a run or play simulation in studio at a place with a large map. After stopping the simulation, MeshParts with SurfaceAppearances attached to them will render solid white as I believe the SurfaceAppearances fail to load.

Hardware:
GPU: NVidia GeForce GTX 1080 w/ latest drivers
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X

Expected Behavior:
SurfaceAppearances should properly load on simulation end.

Actual Behavior:
SurfaceApperance objects fail to display anything at all resulting in white polygons. The base color of the mesh part is ignored.

EDIT: This appears to happen to SurfaceAppearance objects with AlphaMode set to Transparency.

Workaround:

Thanks for the bug report, I wonder if you can share the place file? Is this happening in Studio only?

Hi, yes I believe this is studio only. It happens after simulation ends and the world is quite large. It does not happen with the same assets in an empty baseplate, so I think that it’s related to the size of the world or perhaps streaming being enabled. I will dm you a copy of the place, simply starting and ending simulation should cause it to occur.

I have reverted the change that might cause this, can you please confirm? Thanks.
