SurfaceAppearence Bug

Hey Devforum! I’ve recently been messing around with PBR, and I’ve been having quite the annoying bug happening to me. As you see below, a PBR weapon is placed and looking fine on the server.

While on the client, the PBR material is refusing to show (on graphics max)

Is there any particular reason why I can’t get this to work?

Fixes I have tried:

  • Preloading SurfaceAppearence
  • Reapplying SurfaceAppearence
  • Preloading the Mesh

(Apologies if this is the wrong topic.)

It this in Studio or in-game? The lighting appears to be different in both pictures.

Is there some sort of change between client and server, like lag on the client computer that’s causing lighting to be changed?

I’ve gotten super annoyed with this bug, but for some odd reason, I found a workaround. Only in-studio, when the VR headset isn’t worn, the surface appearance loads every time. When in the game, this does not fix the said bug. I have to think that this is an engine bug that I should be reporting.
