Surfacegui HUGE problem: TextLabel not showing

(if i tagged something wrong or something isn’t right in this post, please consider telling me about it!)

-TextLabel not showing-

- Detailed description of bug:

Heya Developers! Nico once again here, recently i’ve had this problem where basically my TextLabel is not showing on my surfacegui and i haven’t changed anything on my surfacegui/textgui, i really can’t give details of it since i don’t know what happened.

Size and positions of the TextLabels are right, since i have not changed anything.

Last week it was literally fine (look the screenshots part), as a possible reason, i believe this happened after i updated Studio this week.

- When it started happening:

Around 5 days ago? I thought it was a Studio client error so i decided to wait some days, but nothing has changed since that day, as i said before last week it was completely fine, i don’t know what happened.

- Screenshots and videos of the bug:

This is how it is suposed to look like:

(that was taken a few months ago, and so how it looked like last week)

And this is how it looks like now:

(i haven’t changed anything or touched anything. As a possible reason, i believe this happened after i updated Studio this week)

If someone knows why this happens and how to fix it i really would appreciate that, i need to fix this asap since i need to work with it.

Have a good day Devs! - Nico.

Having the same issue, I was just about to make a post about it myself.

(There’s supposed to be a “!” on the sign, yet it appears as nothing for some reason.)

Although I believe this to be a bug, it could easily be something I’m doing wrong on my end.

I’m 100% sure it’s a bug at this point, there’s no way it’s our fault.

UPDATE: Managed to show 'em back, but now they like, flick and appear & disappear from nowhere for some strange reason, what is going on???

Do you have RichText enabled? I would disable and test… this has been giving all kinds of visibility issues for awhile.

Nope, even with it disabled, it does not show up.

Heyo, still having this issue, but I believe I’ve found root cause or bug.

When closing and opening studio, the SurfaceGui seems to be invisible. More specifically, this has something internally to do with the PixelPerStud property, or that’s how it seems. Messing around with the PixelPerStud property, I somehow get the SurfaceGui to be visible again.

Here’s a video of me showing this weird issue:

You can notice that I start out with the PixelPerStud property set to 85 and the SurfaceGui not showing up, I mess around with some numbers, but then set it back to 85 and the SurfaceGui is for some reason visible to me now when it wasn’t before.

Here’s a studio file that isolates the sign so that anyone can test it out:
SurfaceGui Bug - Isolated Sign.rbxl (55.1 KB)

Hoping someone from @Bug-Support can address this issue or someone can turn it into a bug report in #bug-reports:studio-bugs.

Disable RichText and you will solve your issue.

It is a known issue with richtext… disable it in your textlabel.

Edit: I just saw that I told someone else to do this earlier and i did it now in your test file and the image shows instantly.

Wow, that’s kinda strange, i tried it and still, it’s not showing

Trust me mate, i’ve tried it like 50 times, it doesn’t work even if i disable it.

Your issue might be different from @Reditect cuz i was able to show his by disabling it. I dont know about yours, have you tried to reassign the adornee property?

Nvm, it fixed itslef after a Stuido update, it was definitely a Studio error, thanks to everyone involved in this, i really appreciate it.
