Working on an inventory UI for my survival game. This game is in a similar style to Muck, Raft, Terraria, etc. Does the UI fit a survival game style? I’m a beginner UI designer and feedback is appreciated.
Looks very nice! Although, I do think the hand-crafting UI could be a bit complicated for people who are trying to look for specific recipes. Maybe adding a search mechanic could help? (Unless there is one, of course.)
Bit unrelated, but the game idea seems interesting.
Terraria is one of my favorite games, and so when this does release, I would love to play it!
I like it, maybe make the colors more dark/brown since raft and mucks UI is brown. I’m not a fan of the font at the top though, maybe make it thicker or something. I’d also suggest you change the colors of the fonts, since if you make the background colors darker, you could make the “Backpack” and “Hand Crafting” text light brown, with a drop shadow. for the other text that says “999”, “Wood x 1”, etc, you could make it just white. Overall its pretty good!
Adding on to the person above me yeah you should add a search bar above the crafting area.
I think I like how the color of my UI looks, but I’ll see if I like the colors darker. For the title text, I couldn’t find a slightly thicker font that fit the style, so I made the title text thickness medium instead of regular and changed the color from black to a very dark brown. I’ll see what I can do about a searching feature, but that will be for later when I finish scripting everything (It took me like 2 weeks to bug fix what I have currently)
This survival game UI looks great so far! I recommend making ALL of the UI bigger in size, since it looks small in my opinion. Otherwise, nice job on this! How long did it take to make it?
The Gui looks small in Studio but it’s very readable when actually playing the game in Roblox. I tested this on my 27 inch monitor and my 15 inch laptop. The hotbar at the bottom took about 10 - 15 minutes to make. The backpack and Handcrafting UI took a little more than 30 minutes.
