Survival Games - Player vs Elements/Nature?

Hello. I have had an idea in mind which I’d like to share with you all - this being for a survival game. I’ll be explaining my ideas below.

CONCEPT
The idea that I had in mind is that the player finds themself in an alien world and that they must focus on getting resources while also maintaining different vitals, ranging from hunger and thirst, temperature, and sanity.
My main focus was not to focus on creatures of which will pose as the threat, but rather the harsh elements and storms that this world has to bring from the player. The player will have to monitor the external condition by various signs and factors. While removing the fear of being attacked, the anxiety of a survival game still persists. Any wrong action could lead to the player’s demise.

Diving into the Mechanics
The mechanics that I have come up with are combined from a variety of sources. The player not only needs to keep an eye on their needs but also their body condition. For example, the player could be bleeding at various rates depending on the wounds that the player has received, which can pose a potential threat if left untreated. However, the player can receive much worse injuries as well, from broken bones to unique injuries such as concussions.

The player also can build structures, which provide shelter in various ways, from protecting against strong winds, providing heat. Other structures can be used for creating tools. Players will not have access to everything right away and will have to research different “Tiers” to advance.

My Goal
My goal, if I were to follow through with this project, is to focus on the idea of caution and the fear of being caught off-guard. The game will be fair, but it will not hold the player’s hand either. The decisions that the player makes and their awareness will determine whether or not the player can survive in such a harsh world.

Sounds really complex and challenging. You’re going to have to script your own system, hope you’re up for the challenge.

If you are a beginner, I recommend you to start small. Otherwise, good luck!! I can’t wait to play the final product.
