I recreated the setup you described and I found no issues!
1.9.4
Word Highlights:
You’ll now see two colors when typing in Swap’s class converter. The least prominent indicates the predicted class and the second-most prominent indicates what will be filled if you press the Space bar or Tab key.
Below, the word “Image” in ImageLabel is instantly filled after pressing the space bar.
More Shortcuts!
Shortcuts for copying, cutting, and pasting instance data are finally here! You can now set individual keybinds (via the Roblox Studio shortcuts widget FILE > Advanced > Customize Shortcuts…) to open all three of the menus below, even while the Swap widget is closed.

Selecting a class which matches the text typed after selecting an invalid class will no longer glitch out the UI and make it appear as if the selected class cannot be converted

The class conversion dropdown will no longer appear if it was summoned via shortcut while there was no class chosen or valid class selected
Improvements
- To streamline class conversion shortcuts, all related keybinds will now disable when the widget is closed to avoid errors and prevent confusion about what class has been chosen

1.9.5
This updates fixes an issue where the copy, cut, and paste shortcuts only worked sometimes while the Swap widget was closed. Every function now works all the time as expected.
Hey there! I just wanted your complete, honest opinion. Do you think this plugin is better than the new Reclass? If yes, why?
I’ve always been satisfied with Swap, so I have never installed another plugin like it. Though to compare what I like most about Swap with it, I downloaded the plugin. And to answer your question up front and honestly, yes; I think Swap is better.
I mostly use Swap for copy/pasting attributes and converting classes with or without their descendants carrying over. It does not support any type of copy/pasting attributes, tags, etc. You can convert a class with or without its descendants carrying over, but you need to toggle it in settings rather than selecting it as an option in the moment of converting a class. After messing around with converting a bunch of different instances, I went to undo all of my changes and ran into some problems like how Studio would remove the children of the instance being converted back. This was the only true problem I encountered; everything else is just my preference.
Since both are free right now, you can try both to see which one you like better!
Alright. I have to try Swap.
You mean Reclass? I believe it does. Maybe you need to enable a setting. It also has a feature to store instance properties in the object’s attributes for seamless property transfers across multiple reclasses.
I’m assuming this comes at the expense of a little less, how do I say it, cleanliness.
Hmm. Interesting. I haven’t encountered an issue with the undos yet.
Definitely. Honestly, I was just lazy in asking that question—I didn’t want to spend the time testing it myself, which is incredibly stupid, as in the end, I’m the only one who can decide which plugin is “better.”
Edit: I will give my opinion on it tomorrow (maybe later though).
