SwiftScript is a Roblox Studio plugin which is designed to aid learning developers through providing a hands-on learning experience, allowing you to code faster & easier.
I’d love to try it out, but I’m not going to pay for a plugin which has zero reviews and no screen shots / previews.
By the looks of it, it seems like VSCode could do this already along with the ability to use a github workflow and much more.
I have a similar discontinued plugin called “RoIntellisense” (which is free). but 420 robux for a work-in-progress plugin with only three or so features that anyone could recreate seems a bit excessive to me. also there isn’t much context in the post nor the plugin itself
Thanks for the feedback everyone, there’s been a lot discussion about the pricing for an unfinished plugin which I 100% agree with. The plugin was stated to be an early Alpha version which means people were given the choice to wait for the full thing to be available to justify the price.
As for why I did price it to be 420 Robux is considering that’s around an actual dollar. When the plugin is 100% finished, I’d like to believe my work is worth at least 1 buck lol.
Nonetheless, I appreciate the support. There have been multiple updates since this post has been published (only posted on the Discord), but I’ll make sure to update this page as often as I can.
I suggest for the plugin a new category: command, create commands like //player, this will replace the command by the player choice. for example local player = game:GetService(‘Players’).LocalPlayer !
Thank you to everyone for their support and contribution to SwiftScript!
We’ve finally reached V1.0 of the plugin, and as a result, dropped the price. Feedback etc is always welcomed.
