I propose that when there no group owner is present, the group entry requirement defaults to “Anyone can join”, so that other users may use the group instead of having an inactive group with no members and no way to join.
Yes, please! I would totally get BC again just so I can reclaim a few groups I dropped.
I even recommended this at Chicago BLOXCon 2013.
I would love to see this happen so that dead groups can finally be useful. better to have data reused instead of them just laying there.
The only time I’ll agree to this is when they add the ability to delete groups. Sometimes people eject groups, in this way, simply because they don’t want others to use them “X’s Alternate Accounts”, for example.
I support this. I don’t think it would be too difficult to add a user to the group irrelevant of group entry settings on the condition that the group is empty.

Yes, whilst a user could feasibly buy the group themselves, you would still have the initiation price as a deterrent of doing so. By opening the group up, so anyone can claim it, you remove this deterrent. Also, passing ownership to an alternate account assumes that that account has BC; the majority don’t.

It’s simple, then. Make joining an empty group cost 100 R$ - the same as creating a new one. Or better yet, delete the group when its last member leaves.

I don’t want to necessitate the usage of alternate ASCII characters to make another group that looks similar to the original - I want the original group.
What about the case where the leader is an inactive nobody who quit ROBLOX already?
