Sword Can Only Damage NPCs

Hello, I’m working on a minigame where you need to kill NPCs with a sword. Currently, I’m using the classic Roblox sword which the script I edited a bit. I need help with only allowing the sword to damage NPCs and not players. Below is the current script.

Tool = script.Parent

				obj[k] = v
			end
		end
		return obj
	end
end

try removing the IsTeammate function, not really sure but that might be your problem, so debug it.

local player = game:GetService("Players"):GetPlayerFromCharacter(hit.Parent)
if player == nil then

What part of the script should I insert that?

If I were you I would start by finding the part of the script that actually damages the player. A quick ctrl+f using a text editor would find the function Blow() is where the damage is dealt. Indeed, this is where the checks are done (teammates and other stuff).
Now to implement the npc check. The script uses

if condition then
  return
end

to validate the conditions. Before you add a new condition, know that there is unnecessary code that is only useful if the character is a player.

	local player = Players:GetPlayerFromCharacter(character)
	if player and (player == Player or IsTeamMate(Player, player)) then
		return
	end

A small change would give it the functionality you want. Simply remove (player == Player or IsTeamMate(Player, player)) and voila. Your sword only works against npcs.

Hmm, it still doesn’t seem to work after I removed it.

It works for me
Just to clarify, the code should look like this

Tool = script.Parent
Handle = Tool:WaitForChild("Handle")

function Create(ty)
	return function(data)
		local obj = Instance.new(ty)
		for k, v in pairs(data) do
			if type(k) == 'number' then

				obj[k] = v
			end
		end
		return obj
	end
