Sword Combat System Feedback

I’m redoing my combat system, and I have just finished the longsword combat. I want feedback to improve it. Ignore the death part and the enemies breaking after death, those are WIP.

The sensing and all of the visuals on a LocalScript. It fires a RemoteEvent, and it’s picked up by a ServerScript which ticks down durability and does extra checking to make sure everything is what it should be. Finally, it uses a function from a module to do the parrying and the attacking.

I’m still working out minor visual and audio errors, but nothing that would inhibit gameplay.

Thoughts?

The slash animations are way too slow, making the game looking like an effortless game.

I also recommend changing the idle animation making the sword on the shoulder of the player (and holding with one hand). Hope this helps, Good Luck!

I just padded out the animation to make the cooldowns make sense, as this is supposed to be a slow and heavy sword. I will try and make them quicker, and I’ll incorporate your idle animation suggestion. Thanks!

Boosting this again. I need the feedback.

If you REALLY need the feedback just ask friends and family.

Anyways, why is the camera shaking that much? It’s very exaggerated. It makes the animation look wobbly. I’m not sure if that’s what’s you’re going for, but for me using that would give me a headache lol.

Good luck

Alright, I’ll tone it down a bit. Now that I see it again, it’s alot. Thanks for the feedback!

It’s Peter Griffin, I’m using the family guy death pose and the Peter Griffin laugh as a placeholder (maybe permanent). Thanks for the feedback!

I toned it down by about 3x, it’s a lot better and still has the effect I’m going for.

I’ve sped up the slash so that it is a bit faster, and it looks better.
