Tab printing no longer works

Ever since the new output window tab and space printing has been somewhat broken.

print(" x") – This space is a tab

now prints “x” instead of " x", which I need because I export my animation data through the command bar since I don’t use plugins for my animation editor.

Same issue as here I’m guessing:

All whitespace characters (tab, newline) seem to get either removed or turned to single spaces
