Okay, I’m like really serious when I say this:
Why do people say “take it into DMs” when they don’t even do it themselves.
Like this is a question and I need an answer. I need a detailed answer, please don’t say something ignorant.

So that everyone can learn from it and not make the same mistake that the person did; not taking to dms, to reduce clutter on topics
What do you mean they don’t? Well, some people do, but most don’t. I personally take most of the unnecessary replies into the DM’s.
I get that sometimes it feels unfair, but two wrongs don’t make a right.
Okay thanks, may you answer this part?
Because they want to look good but don’t actually want to follow the rules.

Okay thank you. But what I means is that they say it but never do it themselves.
I just did. When people say “take it to the dms” only you can see it obviously and people will make the same mistakes again.
Thank you for this response. But you really didn’t have to hit hard like that.
Most users take it to the DMs to prevent a clutter of replies and spam inside the original topic, in messages you can reply and “spam” all you want to prevent flags and stuff.
Personally, I like talking to people in the DMs so I can discuss further information and avoid cluttters as what others have said above me.
I like to tell someone i’d like to talk about it in DMs so that we don’t create a long chain of replys on one topic.
Do you really find it necessary to correct someones grammar?
Also, I don’t understand what you mean by:
Could you try explaining this another way?
Yeah, and that’s fine, but if that’s your intent you can DM them that.
He was asking why people do that in the thread instead of just taking it to DMs on their own.
