When on a talent hub creator’s page, clicking a link to one of their job listings can sometimes result in a 404 | Page not found error. This only happens if the job listing/link ends in a period or slash.
Expected Behavior:
The link should direct a user to the job listing.
Actual Behavior:
The link directs a user to a 404 | Page not found error, preventing the user from viewing the job listing.
Workaround:
Remove the period or slash from the end of the link, although most users will not know that this is the cause and therefore will not attempt this.
Repro:
Either:
- Go to the page of any talent hub creator who has a open job listing ending in a period or slash
- Click the link to the job listing
Or:
- Go to the page of any talent hub creator who has an open job listing
- Click the link to the job listing
- Add a period or slash to the end of the URL you are taken to and press enter
In either case, a 404 | Page not found error will be shown.
Issue Area:
Talent hub
Impact:
Moderate.
Users on a creator’s profile trying to go to a job link ending in a period or slash will not be able to view it and therefore will not be able to apply for the job. Therefore, creators may have potential applicants turned away.
