TDS Range Effect

hey i tried to replicate the tds range using image labels but it doesn’t really work the same, here is my recreation

now this may seem great until I scale it up, the lines just become very big, which I don’t want that

meanwhile in tds, they somehow don’t have this problem. here’s an example of a smaller range and a bigger range


do you see it? look in the lines in both of the images, they stay the same size. i know the basics of it like they use frames and like rotate it with some math but other than that I don’t really know, could anyone help me with the basic of how i’d accomplish this? thanks!

It uses gnomecode’s Tower Defense kit

they made it in blender and textured it in blender
