Team create publishing / autosaving crashing studio

When I go into my team create server for a game I am working on, every time the game autosaves or I try to publish Roblox studio will crash and revert all of my changes. The cloud icon on the top will claim my internet connection is poor, when that’s not the issue and will disconnect me. I started seeing this issue yesterday, 1/9/24 - worked perfectly fine prior.

Was able to replicate this issue on a different PC on a different account just by joining the team create.

I am using windows 10.

Roblox studio DOES Work on local files, and I’ve also uninstalled all Roblox files and re-installed and the issue still persists. I also have no beta features enabled.

I took a quick look and it seems you are hitting the Server memory cap. If you are able to download your place and reduce the size, then upload it again, that should fix the issue.

oh dang, I didn’t even realize. Is there a way to see how much memory I’m using compared to the cap?

There isn’t currently, but looking at the memory footprint when open locally should give you a rough idea. When I had tested this out in the past, I was seeing the same issue over 4GB, but there are a lot of other factors that could affect this so you may see varying numbers. As a rule of thumb, I would try to stay under 4GB. Lower if you are replicating all of this to game clients who may not be able to handle a memory footprint that size.

Dang well thanks for pointing that out. I’m not sure why the memory usage is so high but i’ll look into it and lower it.
