Team Edit Publish Crashes Studio

For some reason whenever I publish to a place (that is a group place), team edit will kick in and the “Requesting access” window pops up shortly before studio crashes.

The place seems to publish fine but I need to reopen the place every time I publish which is getting annoying!

I also have been having issues, but a different one. When I try to publish this place from Team Edit, it doesn’t publish at all. The output prints out that I requested the server to publish, but it doesn’t actually publish. I have to change the spawn’s color every time I make changes and keep re-joining until the spawn is the right color (which means autosave kicked in).

I think I’m experiencing this now. I decided to just use team edit to avoid the crashes, but now I can no longer publish forcibly. Neither option really sounds fun to deal with but I think I’ll pick guaranteed publishing over no crashes :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit: Is there a way to disable team edit?
@LordRugdumph

I’ve tried the following:

Open a new place
Publish it over an existing group game

Open a new place
Publish it as a new group game

Open an existing group place
Publish it over an existing non-team create group game

Open an existing group place
Publish it as a new non-team create group game

None of these are encountering the error you’re referring to. Are you doing something different? Also, what OS are you on?

Can you send me that place? Maybe there’s a model or setting that’s causing problems.

@AbstractAlex: When you do file → publish as, and you select a place that is part of a universe that has been enabled for team create, it will close your current session and try to re-open from a team create server. This is to help avoid users publishing over each other using manual publish in team create places.

Turning off team create:

@EchoReaper: It is possible to get the behavior you describe if you publish to a team create place while you aren’t currently connected to it. When you were publishing, did you open from the website or from local file?

I opened it from the website. I am positive I was connected to team create because I was working with Causticity the whole time. I sent the file to Silent137 if you guys need to take a look at it.

Also, it’d be nice if instead of “Sent request to server to publish”, we got a definitive message like “Server published game” or “Server was unable to publish game” that didn’t leave us wondering like the current message. When we publish a normal place, we’re assured that it published because it definitively tells us “This place was published”. It’d be sweet to have the same sort of assuring message for team create publishing.
