I went to check the translation tab on one of my games and the entire thing is filled with temporary text, making it extremely annoying to sift through strings. Does anyone know of a way to keep the temporary text out of here?
Hey @Cheese127 - could you share the universe ID for your experience? This will help us take a closer look at what might be happening. Thanks!
The universe ID is 2182485283.
I just found out the “AutoLocalize” value exists, so I’m assuming that was the problem.
Now that I’ve found the problem though, there isn’t really a way to quickly delete the unnecessary strings. Only the owner is allowed to delete strings from translation as well.
Maybe you can make a permission to allow translators to also delete strings or add a quicker delete button on one of these?
For reference, there is over 200 pages of these strings, it would take forever to clear out.
To clear unneeded entries, you can use the “Clear unmodified auto-captured entries” feature in the your localization settings page. You’ll be able to clear all entries that were auto-captured and are unmodified, within a time frame that you choose. Let me know if this works!
Tried this, but did not work - Probably because most of them have already been auto translated in other languages.
“Unmodified entries” means any entry that has not had any manual action taken on it, meaning auto translated entries should still be cleared. However, flushing these entries could take up to a few hours - would you mind checking back in tomorrow to see if it worked? We can continue to help troubleshoot if it didn’t.
