Terrain disappears at very close distances? How to fix?

Hello, I was utilizing terrain on an older file and I’ve come up to an issue I can’t seem to resolve:

The rendering distance for the terrain is–for some reason–very low and I want to be able to fix it instead of having to remake it and waste time.

I have tested on new baseplates that the default terrain doesn’t disappear at all, what do I need to do?

there was some sort of issue with the baseplate–if its close to the terrain it starts glitching and disappearing

A better explanation would be the LOD system, The lower lod was below the terrain so when it transitions to it it clips.
