Terrain Editor Broken

I am currently making a game that uses a terrain map. Progress has been going great so far, however, I’ve been experiencing huge issues with the terrain editor that make it impossible to actually use it.

Anytime I try to use the terrain editor, it does not detect actual terrain, instead it stays in a fixed point on the Y axis, making it VERY hard to use.

As you can see, the brush tool is not detecting any terrain or parts.

Is there a fix for this?

Also if this is a bug then this is wrong category, you ahould put this in studio bugs but if you can post there just message @Bug-Support

this is most likely a result of the new feature where the brush only connects to terrain once then keeps going. It’s annoying for using the paint tool lol. especially in small spaces. Anyways, I think the solution would be redownloading studio or restarting your PC. I know that what everyone says, but I am almost certain it should work.

I will try that. Thanks for telling me this.

It didn’t seem to work. Also a new issue is that parts will not detect terrain either anymore. They instead will only detect other parts.

Weird, probably something with ROBLOX, it should be fixed soon, file a bug report so they know!

I had this issue a little while ago. One thing that fixed it for me was turning off my computer then turning t back on. The other time Studio crashed because the Drafts window broke. So crashing Studio also fixed the issue. Turning off all Beta Features prevented this from happening to me but you would probably just be better off turning off the feature that @NotAid_n mentioned.

I think plugins will fix this problem. Remember that plugins are very useful.

And sometimes dangerous if you arent sure of the origin of the plugin.

That is true. Sometimes dangerous.

this… has already been reported before…

I fiddled around with the terrain object settings, and now the collisions using the dragger with terrain work again.

Have the same problem! Can you tell us what exactly is the solution to this?

I don’t know if it’ll work for you, but all I did was mess around with the terrain settings, however I think I now know what was causing this.

I think since my game can be quite laggy when loading it, that the terrain editor was still loading in while I was trying to use it.
