Terrain Editor keeps removing terain in the selected box when i try to add water

Hello, im trying to add water but the terrain, in this case leafy grass. keeps getting deleting whenever i try to add water with the fill option.

That’s how terrain works, unfortunately. You can use the part to terrain plugin to transform a part sized to fit inside of the hole into water

you need to make the selection box lower than the waterline for it to work. You can also use Part to terrain plugin to make water, as what @AmoraFolf said.
