I’m not sure if this is a bug or something done intentionally as an update.
The Roblox Studio cursor is automatically enabled when I go into test mode, although formerly it would be disabled by default.
This means that in order to test any game that uses mouse clicking regularly as a control button, I need to manually disable the Studio Cursor every time I go into test mode! :C
I have tested it in several of my projects and it happens in all of them. A friend of mine confirmed it was happening to them too.
This is very annoying!
Expected Behavior
I expect Roblox Studio to disable the Studio cursor when I go into test mode.
Actual Behavior
Roblox Studio DOESN’T disable the Studio cursor when I go into test mode.
Visual Aid
Workaround
I need to click the cursor icon in Studio every time I go into test mode to disable it :C

No it hasn’t? When you used to go into playtests, it used to act like your were playing the game and couldn’t just drag stuff around, but it seems like, due to an update, the Studio cursor is no longer disabled when a playtest starts.
I actually recall just a few days ago at being so annoyed that Ctrl + 1 didn’t toggle selection on in Play Mode (as, fun fact, in Edit Mode, Ctrl + 1 through 5 switches edit tools), and the only way to do so was to manually click the button in the Home tab.
I also cannot reproduce this behaviour, so something is broken.
That appears to be the intended behaviour. The issue this post is describing is that, out of nowhere, the cursor is enabled without having to click the icon, which can be a nuisance since you have to manually disable it every playtest because it creates visual clutter.
