Hello this is probably a very boring post but whatever
So I made a couple of Height maps because I had nothing to do and yeah
Terrain Maps ive made
One Terrain made with a Heightmap + a Color Map

I update this place once every week if I don’t forget to update it
Warning this game may put a strain on low-end devices
Also yes ik the terrain has holes Roblox doesn’t have a perfect color map reader which causes to add it some holes or i used one color wrong
The terrain shown in the pictures looked absolutely amazing from the top ngl, but looking at it from the side kind of ruins it a bit due to how bad the blending is for the terrain
Otherwise, good work with your experimenting! Although somewhat chaotic due to the colormap, the striations in the terrain actually emulate erosion fairly well
Also what software do you use for the colormaps? I’ve been looking for one to use for my own heightmap testing but I haven’t found any that allow you to set the exact color values just yet
i kinda did say that roblox has a hard time reading the colors from the color map so i dont really expect it to work 100% perfectly
