Earlier today our game Project Ventura (GameId 9995828296) received a takedown moderation action citing “Your experience has failed to properly implement Roblox’s TextChatService API”. Our game is fully compliant with text chat filtering, and we’ve seen this issue occur to a few other game and communities, leading us to believe this is an ongoing exploit or issue with the platform moderation system.
We are currently in an appeal, but every day puts strain on our ability to maintain the team behind the game, we desperately need support to get the takedown reversed. We’re avoiding publishing a copy of this game for fear that the reupload could suffer the same issue and cause worse moderation actions against our group.
Same issue here with 12810573447 and 84490209321630; it is unclear on what grounds Roblox has taken action against these two games. ECL | English Conference LeaguesECL Testing They are fully compliant with TextChatService and only have filtered globally-shared UIs determined by TextBox input restricted to moderation ranks in the group.
Would like to add that the aspects which likely led to the takedown after speaking with other developers are all-age visibility of admin commands like :chatlogs (and command logs?) for restricted ranks in the group who require these moderation permissions and persistent notices/admin announcements, which may have been interpreted as chatting. This may be leading to automatic takedowns of games currently
