When attempting to leave the chat on Mobile, the keyboard would disappear, appear again and stays stuck and won’t be gone unless the “back” button is pressed on the device. This bug only affects TextChatService and doesn’t affect the Legacy Chat system. I have got it on many games that use TextChatService and on none that use the Legacy Chat system. This bug is fairly recent too and has only been happening since a few weeks ago. I use Google’s Gboard keyboard, however it also happens with Samsung keyboard.
@marteeblox91, Any idea on when the fix for this bug would get rolled out? It’s been more than 3 weeks since your last comment about this bug and the fix still didn’t get rolled out.
Following up on this comment since the winter holiday break ended and thus with it the code freeze. I hope the fix will be released soon now, it’s been a somewhat tough two months using the chat on Mobile because of this bug.
I’ve seen many Google Play Store reviews and multiple Reddit posts complaining about this bug so I guess I am not the only one annoyed with it
You could press the “send” button on the virtual keyboard if it shows up again or press the back button on your device (though this makes the camera unmovable which is another bug, but reset character fixes it). Though I would prefer an actual fix for this.
This bug doesn’t even occur on the Legacy Chat System. Too bad new TextChatService bugs keep appearing at a time where Roblox is pushing games to migrate to it to remove the old one.
