Texture can't be resized or offsetted

so, if i create a texture and add it to a part with a specialmesh with the “Head” meshtype, the texture can’t be resized or offsetted
here’s some pictures that show the bug (blood warning)

heres what the properties of the texture look like (btw changing the properties does nothing at all)

Expected behavior

i expected being able to change the texture’s properties even if the texture is parented to a character head

We will be closing this issue as it is not a bug.

What it is then otherwise? It can’t be expected behavior, due to the fact that some properties DON’T work under certain circimstances. Texture in this case works like decal, which is just wrong!

Then just move it to where you think it’s appropriate instead of closing it. It’s extremely disappointing to see this forum is following in the footsteps of the old public forum. I’ve said this multiple times on here, and I feel like there’s no end in sight.

Following up on this to give some context so we can close the thread!

Looking on our internal ticket, the engineer assigned closed it as “Not a Defect” and gave an explanation, which is that head type SpecialMeshes use part’s UV layout for decals instead of boxmapping.

I hope this was enough information for you!

Thanks!
